Playtomic 6.5: national level

A 6.5 plays at national level. The club scale all but runs out here: this is the player a club's best pair asks for a practice match.

What a 6.5 does

  • Moves the other pair until the gap opens, then closes the point
  • Keeps the net against the best club lobs
  • Arrives with a plan for the pair they drew

What a 6.5 does not do yet

  • Make unforced errors on the big points
  • Give up the middle to a pair that has not earned it
  • Play a shot without a next one in mind

What to work on next

The percentages. At national level the choices are close, and the Lab's engine note has what thousands of played points say about the smash. Lab note: what a padel engine taught us.

On the other scales

The converter files 6.5 under National: national level: the top of the club scene. That reads as MATCHi 9 and LTA 6.5; Padel Mates uses the same 0 to 7 numbers as Playtomic. None of it is official, and the bands hold to about half a point. Convert any number.

How the number moves

At this end of the scale a win against a weaker pair moves you almost nothing: the level climbs only against pairs at or above it. Under five unforced errors in a set is at least a 4. The long version is in padel levels explained.

Test it

In Padel: The Game a 6.5 meets the 2000 PELO pair, Ari and Paquito (professional). The tour. No unforced errors you did not force, and they get to everything. Beat them with the door and the lob they did not expect.

The daily Scenario is filed by level, and the advanced ones are the fair test at 6.5. One from the bank:
